The fitness business is going through a huge surge at the moment with many gyms/fitness centres opening up all over the country.
While it’s great to see so many people making the decision to move over to a healthier way of living, this surge in fitness centres, gyms, leisure centres, etc. can make owning a fitness business a lot more challenging and demanding.
People want (and deserve) better facilities, equipment, customer service, educated coaches, results, etc. in return for their hard earned money.
We are very conscious about this and that is why our core value number 2 is constant, gradual improvement in every aspect of our business. Here are 3 ways we have lived up to that core value recently.
1) We’ve just added an in-house physiotherapist (Nicki Lacey) to our team of professionals. This adds a whole new dimension to our programs as we can immediately take into account any issues that the client has, tweak their programs, reduce their chances of injury and get them back from an injury quicker.
And for those of you who are based around the city and need someone a bit closer, Paddy Quinlan is our recommended therapist. Paddy is based in Montenotte and can be contacted on 087 252 0544.
2) One of our coaches, Duncan Crowley, has just completed the first milestone in acquiring his sports strength and conditioning degree by graduating from his 2 year PFCS course (Physical Fitness and Conditioning for Sport) with Setanta college.
We’d like to give him a huge congratulations from all the team here at Steve McGrath Health & Performance. Keep up the great work Duncan.
3) We’ve started to put together our mobility/activation/corrective wall. Whatever you want to call it is fine by us. A big part of what we do is try and systemise everything to make it as easy as possible for our clients to train and get results while allowing our coaches to implement our programs as hassle free as possible.
This is a huge step for us in that direction and is a project that we have been planning on for a while so we are delighted to finally get it rolling out.
It also adds to the atmosphere presentation of the facility which creates a much better training environment for clients. Still more to go with this but we are well on the way.
I can’t add the photo so click here to see our progress so far. It’s looking great.
There you go. 3 ways we’ve improved our training facility recently and lived up to our core value of constant, gradual improvement in every aspect of our business.
