Last week was a great week in the gym and great weeks always inspire me to start the next week off in the best possible way.
Why was it so great?
Because I sat down with a lot of clients just to catch up and see how they are getting on and so many of them reported great successes since I last checked in.
From fat loss, to new personal bests, to having more energy to spend with family, to handling work stress better and even a few who are 4+ months off the cigarettes, it was just client after client of great news.
Savage stuff and we’ve plenty more clients following in their footsteps who are being encouraged by the successes of those who have succeeded before them.

But the thing that stood out the most for me was said by 2 clients within an hour of each other. They both said that the biggest factor in their success was not having to think about anything when they arrived in the gym as it’s all taken care of by their coach. They can switch their brains off with regard to many areas of their lives and just follow their program.
They don’t have to think of what exercises to do or how many of each one to do each. No wondering if this is the right stretch or if they should be doing the one they can see someone else doing.
They don’t need to worry whether or not they are performing each exercise correctly because they know their coach has their back and won’t be long stepping. No more confusion about whether or not the program they are doing is the right training method for the results they are looking for.
And because this burden has been removed they are super consistent and seeing the results they wanted at the same time.
You see, 99% of our clients are super-busy people (parents, demanding jobs, travel schedules, etc.) who have enough things going on in their lives without having to worry about their health and fitness needs. As one client said to me, he has a million things bouncing around in his head at any one time. If the ins and outs of his exercise program was added to the mix he probably wouldn’t bother with it.
And understanding that is the key. As I’m sure you’ll have experienced, our personal health & fitness is always one of the first things to drop down the priority list when life gets busy and complex. It’s another thing that is demanding your time and a bit of effort and often times we wrongly think it’s just not worth it. Letting it go for 1 month becomes 4 months and this can quickly turn into years.
The big problem with this is that it absolutely must be done if you want to have a decent quality of life. You simply can’t sit on your ass at a desk all day and eat highly processed food and expect to feel great, energised and full of life. No deals to be found there I’m afraid!!
