When Eleanor first came to us she wasn’t just looking to do a bit of exercise. She had tried that and wasn’t getting the results that she wanted. This time she really wanted to take back control of her health, smash her fat loss goals and get fit once and for all.
Like most women that come to us, Eleanor had a lot of head trash about getting fit and healthy.
“I wanted to get fit and healthy once and for all as I always tried to stay active. I was always rushing about, coming home late at night and fixing a quick dinner at the end of the day. I’d go for a walk or maybe an exercise class. I kept telling myself that I would make more time for my health and fitness but nothing changed really.”
It wasn’t just weight-loss or a quick fix that Eleanor wanted. She classed herself as having no level of fitness during her initial consultation and so she wanted to recharge her energy levels, boost her confidence and feel fit and strong. Simply put, Eleanor wanted to feel better within herself and enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
As with all our clients, we needed to know exactly where Eleanor was starting from, both with her fitness level and mindset. Eleanor initial consultation and assessment provided all this information to us and soon we had a workable plan of action in place that met Eleanor where she was at.
This is so important as too many people take on way too much than they can handle. Once they hit an obstacle everything comes crashing down and they are right back to square one with a mother failure under their belt.
With the plan in place we went about gradually incorporating healthy habits into Eleanors lifestyle:
- a suitable exercise program
- a bit more water
- a healthier balance of protein, carbs and fats
- 2 litres of water a day
- a bit less processed carbs and a bit more fruit and veg
Over the weeks and months these small changes all added up and started to snowball and the results that Eleanor wanted started to show. Regular meetings with her coach kept Eleanor on track, helped her overcome the mindset obstacles that she faced and provided the accountability needed to keep moving forward.
“Since joining the gym I have a targeted plan, step by step progress and the results for me were just great.
I have become stronger, leaner, fitter, have dropped 18lbs of fat and lost 4 inches off my waist which makes my clothes feel so much better now. I have also become happier about the changes in the food that I now eat. I now have a much better understanding of the importance of balanced, healthy foods.
The huge bonus in all this is that I actually enjoy the exercise. It can be challenging but the coaches know exactly how far to push you and I’m delighted that I have made amazing progress with my strength and fitness levels.
The coaches help because they advise you and take you step by step to your next level of fitness. I never thought for a minute that I could have progressed to this stage while feeling that I still have much more to come.
The coaches have the experience and patience to know how far to push you and treat each client according to their individual level of fitness and ability.
I cannot say enough about the support of the gym and my coaches. I was totally daunted at the prospect of getting started back in February when I joined but I was always made feel like I belonged and that I was as important a member as those who were super fit!
