Steve’s note: As you will read below, Declan has a very busy life and work schedule. On top of a full time job, Declan is also a professional dance teacher and coaches up to 20 hours per week and also travels a great deal as part of teaching schedule.
When Declan came to us to train, we didn’t need to make him fitter as this was already taken care of through his dancing. Instead we have been focusing on developing his strength and power levels while at the same time working on correcting imbalances and any major weaknesses that were present.
Two keys to Declan’s success with his program is that he built his gym sessions into his weekly schedule before heading into work and he simply followed the instructions of his coaches. It’s a tough thing for an experienced teacher to willingly become a student but Declan does it perfectly.
When I first joined Steve McGrath Health & Performance I wanted to become fitter, stronger and I wanted to be taught and guided professionally in the correct environment. I also wanted to feel better mentally and physically.
I am always on the go and I had no proper structure to maintain a healthy lifestyle, as there was no routine in my life.
Throughout my training so far I have become more energized which has helped my “on the go” daily lifestyle.
I have also become more disciplined, healthier and stronger. This has enabled me not to slip back into my old routine.
The level of instruction and guidance provided by the trainers is top- class.
Before each class all the coaches would ask you how your day was and how your getting on regarding your training and nutrition, which shows they are genuinely interested in you.
