Steve’s Note: Donal is the perfect example of an excellent client, from day one Donal had realistic expectations about his goals. Since coming into the gym he has integrated fantastically, the big thing with Donal is that there is never any fuss with him. Donal gets into the gym, listens to his coaches, trains hard and leaves and gets on with his day again. This is how it should be done!
When I arrived at Steve McGrath Health and Performance my short term goal was and still is to take part in a triathlon while my long term goal is to remain fit, healthy and strong to enjoy my retirement. I played rugby into my 20’s and since then have ran a marathon when I was 40, then I did some uncontrolled and unsupervised training on my own, all this poor training led to a big toll on my body. Then I approached the guys at Steve McGrath Health and Performance.
The biggest thing I have learned since joining is to listen to your coach and the instructions they give. They know where you are at and will guide you to where you want to be. I have learned to train more effectively and the results have come with less effort than if I was training on my own. The quality of coach is also incredibly important in this regard.
The benefits of training at Reset Fitness were fat loss, I lost 2 inches from my waist. This was an unexpected benefit as I was only in the gym twice per week. I have also increased my quality of life as I have more energy now than before and I don’t have as much digestive problems, I changed my diet slightly based on the templates and recipes that the coaches provide.
The atmosphere in the gym is great. The team are always ready for me and I have learned to be ready to workout when I am supposed to workout. If I am training at 8am then I will get up at 6:30am in order to have a good breakfast, relax and prepare to give my best. This results in a great gym session and maximal effect of training.
The consistent support I get from all who work at Reset Fitness makes it easier for me to train. Every aspect of my life has changed since I started with them. I enjoy trying new foods and reading how others in the gym are getting on via the Facebook group which is a great platform to find motivation.
I can’t say enough of the level of coaching I receive. A very effective and educated team train me and explain in detail the reason for each exercise. I have learned to listen and trust them and the results are showing!
I have never trained so effectively before and got the results I have, the gym is life changing for me. Small changes each week become a normal way of life very quickly. I feel fitter, stronger and able to live life as much as I want. I am investing in my own health for the future.
Advice I would give to anyone who reads this or thinking of getting fit is to “Stop Thinking, Start Training!”
