Steve’s comment: William is a great example of how go about getting healthy and fit the right way. From day 1 he focused on changing just 1 or 2 simple habits every week or 2- drink 2 litres of water, ease into exercising, drink less sugary drinks, add in more fruit and veg, etc. He simply made small changes consistently which have all come together in the form of a huge transformation.
He never came in with the attitude that most people have of changing everything in 2 weeks. William realised the importance and necessity of changing his lifestyle if he wanted to have a better quality of life in his future. He had a lot of bad habits built up over the years and had a very low level of fitness.
If he had jumped in too fast his body would have packed up and he would never have made the lifestyle transformation that he did. He turned up to train week after week for all his scheduled training sessions and if he thought he needed a bit of time away from the gym to avoid getting turned off his training then he scheduled some time off and then got back into after a few days.
If you are in need of a lifestyle overhaul but are unsure about how to go about it or if it is even possible then William is the perfect example for you to follow. As you will see, William credits much of his success to having professional coaches to support and guide him.
To make the changes that William has made definitely wasn’t easy at the beginning but I think he will agree that the end result in terms of cardiovascular health, mental clarity, confidence, pain relief, quality of life, etc. are well worth the initial fear of getting started.
I made the decision to join Reset Fitness because I wanted a well rounded exercise program that was specifically tailored to my needs. I also wanted to be monitored and guided in a professional way about what to do.
I wanted to clean up my lifestyle in a big way as I was eating a lot of processed foods, my sleeping patterns were very erratic, my moods were constantly going up and down and my energy levels were all over the place.
Due to these factors I had put on a lot of excessive body fat and I really wanted to get the weight off, clean up my food in a big way and get to the gym on a consistent basis.
So far I have lost 16kg, my energy levels are always good and the continuous back issues that I suffered from (including 2 bad muscle pulls) are gone and I feel much looser now.
NOTE FROM STEVE: when we factor in the muscle mass that William has gained, he has actually lost 20kg of body fat.
The atmosphere is always good with everyone there to work and not just to hang around doing nothing. The trainers are always available to give you a hand, answer your questions and keep you motivated.
There were times at the start when I wanted to ease off but I was motivated and supported to keep moving forward. This was great because if I had backed off I would’ve stopped and wouldn’t be where I am today.
The level of coaching is great. It doesn’t matter what level you start at as the coaches tailor the program specifically for you and adjust if it any issues arise.
I’ve enjoy my training here immensely and have made great progress so far in areas that I couldn’t have achieved without the help of everyone at Reset Fitness. I’ve set targets to achieve that I never thought I would ever get to before and I’m looking forward to the next one and the one after that.
My advice to anyone looking to get started is to just do it and any fears that you might have will quickly vanish. I though I’d never be able to do it. At 29 I was stuck in my ways with a lot of unhealthy lifestyle habits but it’s great to know that its never too late to get started.
